The Testa Grigia customs building is a mountain property on the Swiss-Italian border that was used by the customs administration. The property consists of two floors (with two mezzanine floors). It is located right next to the Testa Grigia mountain station of the Zermatt mountain railways and is very well developed (for mountain conditions).
The property impresses with its solid construction with inserted wooden structure. The hut has a basement with a toilet (currently without water/sewage connection) and storage space. The first sleeping places are on the mezzanine floor to the ground floor. All bedrooms are heated with Giltstein stoves. The house entrance, the office and the dining room with kitchen are on the ground floor. A second bedroom is on the second mezzanine floor. The third bedroom on the upper floor is accessible via a staircase in the entrance area.
The property is suitable as a temporary place to stay in the high mountains and offers pleasant overnight accommodation.
There is a rental agreement with Swisscom for the operation of a mobile communications system, which can be taken over.
