LOCATION:
Lake Alpnach, a branch of Lake Lucerne, is in the immediate vicinity and is suitable for various water sports, especially with good windsurfing conditions even for beginners.
The boathouse and bathing area are a 3-minute walk away. Alpnachstad train station and restaurants are a 3-minute drive away. Alpnach village center is a 5-minute drive away and Lucerne center is a 15-minute drive away. From Alpnachstad, the Pilatusbahn, the steepest cogwheel railway in the world, takes you up to Mount Pilatus (2132 m) and is a 3-minute drive away.
Alpnach is a good starting point for long hikes and bike tours. There are also moderately difficult mountain hikes in the Pilatus area. A nature reserve is located in the immediate vicinity.
